What is it?
Winchester E-Network is designed to support enterprising students at the University of Winchester and the University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art. The venture is supported by Winchester City Council and Business Link.
The purpose of Winchester E-Network is:

To establish and manage a series of networking events designed to encourage and enhance innovation, enterprise, entrepreneurship and business engagement amongst the student body in Winchester.

To encourage and enhance engagement between students and local and regional businesses.

To ensure such engagement is made across industries including the creative and cultural industries.
In order to develop the network, a series of events are planned for the 2008/09 academic year. Selected entrepreneurs will be invited to the events, to tell their stories of triumphs, challenges and heartbreaks.
Representatives from business support agencies will also be invited to discuss how they can help a company through its start-up process. The events start at 6.30pm with drinks and a buffet to allow networking. The speaker will present their story with time for questions and answers. We will continue till around 8.00pm for further networking.
