Wet Picnic – Making People Matter!

Penny Patrick, Education Director, and a founding member of Wet Picnic will be talking about the process and involvements of creating, running and directing a theatre company. From the logistics of funding and staffing, to the artistic development of a young and ambitious company, many lessons have been learnt, and tricky decisions made on the road to full time employment! Wet Picnic create Indoor and Outdoor Theatre, Educational projects and Youth Theatres across Hampshire, Street Theatre, and corporate work. Working with Wet Picnic to deliver all of these projects are a happy band of practitioners varying from performers to teachers to designers; adding constant ideas, skills and talents. Organising all these people, the accounts and a van with a tendency not to start, lead to a slightly alternative way to running a business, but a lot of fun is had doing it that way!
